Luis J. Jiménez Selected to Join Team of Legal Consultants for the Executive Branch's Legal Advisor Office

Luís J. Jiménez will join a hand-selected team of some of the country's best legal minds to advise the executive branch's Legal Advisor Office in consequentially modifying existing laws to harmonize them with the country's new constitution.

President Leonel Fernandez issued Decree number 35-10, creating a commission to play this advisory role. The members of the commission will be required to review existing laws and regulations and provide their opinions on whether any modifications will be necessary and how such modifications should be made. The commission members will lend their professional services to the government based on where their expertise lies.

Luís J. Jiménez along with the other members of the commission was sworn into his role on Thursday, February 4, 2010.
