Marcos Peña Named Vice President of the Board for Santo Domingo's Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution

As a longtime advocate of establishing the Dominican Republic as a desired choice of forum and venue for domestic and international arbitration proceedings, Marcos Peña-Rodriguez has been recently named Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution of the Chambers of Commerce and Production in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Pursuant to Law No. 181-09, which modifies Law No. 50-87, domestic and international arbitrations of a commercial matter or pertaining to international investments in the Dominican Republic may be held in the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution (Center) that corresponds to the regional Chambers of Commerce and Production with the jurisdiction to adjudicate the matter.
